Terms & Conditions
These terms apply whenever you order from Cloudleaf Bakery Co. — through the website, by phone, or in person. They are written in plain language so a quick read is all you need.
1. Who you are dealing with
Your order is with Cloudleaf Bakery Co. Pty Ltd (ABN 78 412 905 663), trading from 142 Sturt Street, Southbank VIC 3006. References below to “we” and “us” mean Cloudleaf Bakery Co.
2. Placing an order
An order is confirmed once we send you a written acceptance (email or SMS) and you have paid the agreed deposit. Prices on our menu pages are guides; the price in your written acceptance is the price that applies.
3. Deposits & payment
- Cupcakes and sweet treats: full payment at order.
- Celebration cakes: 30% deposit at booking, balance due seven days before pickup or delivery.
- Corporate accounts: monthly invoicing on 14-day terms.
4. Changes and cancellations
We understand plans move. Our policy:
- More than 14 days before the event: full refund less a small admin fee.
- 7–14 days before: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days before: deposits are non-refundable, as ingredients have usually been bought and time blocked.
If a cake has already been baked, we cannot refund the cost regardless of timing — but we will work with you to find another collection date if possible.
5. Delivery
We deliver within 25km of Southbank, seven days a week. Once your order has been handed over (to you or your nominated representative) responsibility transfers. We are not liable for damage caused by storage outside our recommended conditions.
6. Allergens & dietary requirements
Our kitchen handles wheat, eggs, dairy, nuts, sesame and soy. We bake gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan items on request, but we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Please tell us about severe allergies when you enquire, and seek medical advice before ordering if you have any doubt.
7. Photography & intellectual property
We may photograph cakes we bake and use the images on our website or social media. Where the cake includes personal information (a printed name, a logo) we will ask before posting. Designs are our work — please do not pass them on or copy them.
8. Force majeure
Sometimes things outside our control prevent delivery — extreme weather, power outages, a kitchen incident. If that happens we will let you know as soon as we can and offer a full refund or a rescheduled date.
9. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If something is wrong with your order, get in touch within 24 hours of pickup or delivery and we will work with you to make it right.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
11. Contact
Questions about a specific order should go to [email protected] or (03) 9648 7204.
