Cookie Policy
A small page about a small subject. We use cookies sparingly and only to make the site work.
What cookies are
Cookies are tiny text files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember choices you have made — for example, that you have already seen our cookie banner.
What we use them for
Cloudleaf uses two minimal categories of storage:
Strictly necessary
cl_cookie_pref_v1— remembers your response to the cookie banner, so we do not show it on every page load. Stored for six months. Set by us.PHPSESSID— a session cookie used to keep the order form secure (CSRF protection). Expires when you close the browser. Set by us.
Functional (only if you accept)
- Anonymous page-view counts we use to understand which journal articles people read. We do not link this to your identity or share it with advertisers.
What we do not use
- Third-party advertising or remarketing trackers.
- Social-media tracking pixels.
- Cross-site identifiers of any kind.
Changing your preferences
Click the small cookie icon at the bottom-left of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice. You can also clear cookies from your browser settings — the next page load will ask you again.
Browser-level controls
All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so will not prevent you from browsing the site, but the banner will reappear on every visit. Help articles are available from Mozilla, Google, Apple and Microsoft.
